Unfortunately, the Doge’s Palace does not have central heating. By the time our tour was finished, we were so cold we only wanted to go back to the hotel. I sat by the fire in the parlor. I worked on my journal and read the Italian newspapers.

Sfortunatamente, il Palazzo Ducale non ha il riscaldamento centrale. Quando nostra tournée era finita, avevamo cosí freddo che abbiamo voluto ritornare soltanto all’albergo. Mi sono seduta vicino al fuoco nel salotto. Ho lavorato sul mio diario e ho letto i giornali italiani.
